Privacy Policy
By using Lokuu (lokuu.com) during our beta you are accepting the terms set forth in our Privacy Policy regarding the use and protection of your information. The Privacy Policy for Lokuu is designed to protect a user's information and explicitly inform the user of Lokuu's practices.
The Information We Collect
When using Lokuu, the only information collected is voluntarily disclosed by the user. When you register with Lokuu, information is collected such as name, email, gender, birthday and an address. As an optional feature you can also provide a picture. Only one picture is stored and no prior pictures are maintained. However, pictures may still be present in a user's cache.
When you enter Lokuu, we check your method of access (mobile or web). This information is not stored. Once a user has logged in, we use "cookies" to note that a particular user is still logged in. We do not use cookies to track if a particular user has logged in previously on a particular computer.
All posts are identified as Public or Private. Any post designated as Public can be viewed by any registered user of Lokuu. Private posts can only be seen by a "Friend" of a user. All posts are stored with the username of the poster and the location of the post. A user retains the right to delete their own posts.
Children Under Age 13
We do not endorse the use of Lokuu for children under the age of 13.
Children Between the Ages of 13 and 18
Children between the age of 13 and 18 should obtain permission from a parent or guardian prior to using Lokuu.
Sharing Your Information With Third Parties
Information will not be shared with third parties unless you specifically authorize a connection to a social networking or microblogging account. Prospective networks to connect include Twitter and Facebook.
